"This is a book related PSA: You are not lame if you haven’t read a certain book. You are not lame if you have read a certain book. You are not lame if you haven’t read a certain classic or a certain new popular book or anything. You are not lame for reading or not reading anything. You are awesome. Go you. You go read books that you want to read."

Truth.

You’re also not lame if you’re “just” getting around to any of those books. Read at your own pace. I needed to be reminded this was okay awhile back. It’s very hard when you’re surrounded by reading speed demons.

8) Hit an ATM before you get to Con - the food court ones empty pretty quickly over the holiday weekend. It’s a holiday weekend, and 50k people want to eat, drink and buy stuff. While many vendors have credit card apps on their phones and tablets, the cell-net across the hotels is positively HAMMERED by the number of people texting and calling, so don’t assume they’ll be able to get a signal. Be smart and take care of your banking ahead of time!

Also if you can: break up those twenties into smaller bills. The vendors will also appreciate this.

Another example of applied origami: these self-assembling robots created by Samuel Felton and his colleagues at the Harvard Microrobotics Lab. The robots are built with a special shape-memory polymer, with hinges that fold when heated by a circuit.

Look out Optimus Prime!

I am so relieved that I can finally debut this Sailor Moon piece.  It’s been finished for quite some time now but my twin Benjamin Anders has been holding it ransom. Needless to say he has finally revealed his incredible redesigns of the Sailor Scouts, so please go give him some love!
Anyways this isn’t the last Sailor Moon piece from me. Get ready for something special…
