DECONNICK AND NOTO RESURRECT DARK HORSE'S "GHOST" →
kellysue:
Could not be more excited to be working with Phil Noto and Patrick Thorpe on this. Can’t wait for you to see more!
In the 1990s, I wasn’t reading DC much. And Marvel didn’t really interest me all that much. So I went through my indie phase. At that time, that mean Dark Horse and Top Cow. (Yes, I read Witchblade and Tomb Raider.) Dark Horse’s Ghost was one of the...

Revson Corporation: Let's Discuss Comics: Yet More... →
revsoncorp:
Today’s Spider Widow adventure comes from Feature Comics #59, and it is the third story in her series. (You can read the first story here and the second story here.) For her third outing, the Widow takes a trip to the circus! It’s bit of grisly fun, especially if you happen to be afraid of…

Of Official Release Dates, best-seller list... →
literateknits:
itinerantvae:
tl;dr? Seanan McGuire is awesome (and upset), Amazon and B&N have jumped a release date, online sales don’t contribute to best-seller lists, and you should buy Discount Armageddon from a bricks and mortar store if you possibly can on or after March 6th.
Also, try to get it in the first week, because Publishers put a lot of stock on those first week...

Let's Discuss Comics: More Spider Widow!
revsoncorp:
Today’s Spider Widow adventure comes from Feature Comics #58. It’s the second SW story, and it repeats many of the same beats from the first story: it opens with Dianne and Bob Ableson, Dianne discovers a gang that she ambushes at night as the Widow, and the day is ultimately saved by Dianne’s deployment of her spider pets.
That said, it’s also something of an improvement over the...

Let's Discuss Comics: Spider Widow
revsoncorp:
I’d like to share with the Tumblr-verse my favorite obscure Golden Age character, the Spider Widow! Wealthy and beautiful sportswoman Dianne Grayton fights crime, usually Axis spy plots, in the guise of a wicked old witch. At her behest are only brains, athleticism, and an endless supply of trained black widow spiders! No wonder they call her “the Grandmother of Terror!”
Frankly,...

Why I'm a bit "eh" about the Huntress-as-Robin...
latkje:
This just ties her more to Batman and the legacy of her father as opposed to Catwoman and the legacy of her mother.
I mean, so few opportunities for female legacies in comics as it is (and I’m assuming they’re retconning Black Canary’s origins) so, uh, “eh.”
But we’ll see how this works out.
Agreed on this. What I always liked about the Helena Wayne Huntress was she honored both...

Seriously tumblr, could you freaking wait a day before posting spoilers/scans for new comics? Not everyone uses Tumblr Savior.
