tl;dr? Seanan McGuire is awesome (and upset), Amazon and B&N have jumped a release date, online sales don’t contribute to best-seller lists, and you should buy Discount Armageddon from a bricks and mortar store if you possibly can on or after March 6th.

Also, try to get it in the first week, because Publishers put a lot of stock on those first week numbers.

I know people are squee/excited/impatient over an author’s new book, but please temper it. Seanan was flat-out threatened and accused of being a greedy little author because Amazon/BN were releasing the physical versions early, but people that pre-ordered the ebook had to *wait* a few weeks. She’s not the one you should be mad at. Stop stressing her out. Cranky blonde deserves to be damn cranky right now.
