WW’s that Could Have Been

This year J. Bone and myself pitched an all-ages Wonder Woman book aimed at young female readers. In other words, I wanted to give them at least 12 issues of a Wonder Woman book that any parent could give their child. They couldn’t have been less interested.

It pains me whenever I hear about things like this. I would have loved a book like this. An all-ages Wonder Woman book would have brought a much needed entry book for young girls. At Free Comic Book Day, I struggled to come up with one title that girls might like.

Darwyn has quite a few other pitches related to New Frontier, too, that I wish he could have followed up on. I’m glad he’s having success with the Parker books. But he made me appreciate the joy of the Silver Age again.
